To prevent fire and serious injury:

Always cut the wick to 0.5cm before lighting and ensure no debris falls into the wax pool. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Place the candle on a heat-proof surface, away from draughts. Keep it in view while burning and put it out before leaving the room. Avoid placing near flammable items. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never use water to extinguish. Allow the wax to solidify before relighting, handling, or moving. When only 1cm of wax remains at the base of the candle, it is fully used and should be discarded according to local disposal guidelines.
