On my most recent trip to Orlando Florida, my most anticipated attraction was Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The ride opened with a flurry of high praise and incredible reviews. Some even saying it was the best coaster they had even ridden! Knowing all of this, I couldn’t wait to grab my opportunity and ride this latest attraction at EPCOT. 

Wow, was the first word that came to mind after getting off this incredible coaster.  From the moment I stepped foot into the “Galaxy Showcase,” to the moment I got off the ride, it was truly a classic, Disney immersive experience. The ride’s captivating storyline, centered around the beloved Guardians of the Galaxy, had me hooked from the start. As an avid Marvel and most importantly Guardians of the Galaxy fan, it felt like this coaster was made for me. After the joy that Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout had brought in my previous Disneyland trips, this honestly lived up to the same hype and anticipation. 

The seamless integration of the storyline with state-of-the-art visuals and audio effects further amplified the excitement. Each scene felt like a page ripped straight from a Marvel comic, with dazzling special effects and immersive 3D projection mapping that brought the Marvel cosmos to life. What truly sets “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” apart is its revolutionary ride technology. The rotating roller coaster system is an absolute game-changer, allowing riders to face different directions throughout the ride. This dynamic feature ensured that no matter where you were seated, you’d witness the action unfolding in a unique way.

The combination of the roller coaster’s smooth movements, gravity-defying maneuvers, and perfectly timed surprises had my heart racing and adrenaline pumping throughout the entire ride. The seamless transition from one scene to another left me in awe of Disney’s engineering marvels. One aspect that impressed me immensely was the real life set piece and theming throughout the experience. From the stars and Giant Moon during the coaster portion to the captivating pre shows. All theming added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. The fun, up beat music was also very “Guardians” and kept the light hearted spirit of the film franchise.

In conclusion “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” is an exceptional addition to EPCOT’s lineup of attractions, and it successfully merges the thrill of a roller coaster with the immersive storytelling of Marvel’s cosmic universe. From the moment you step into the Galaxy Showcase until the exhilarating finale, you’ll be on the edge of your seat, ready to face the unknown alongside the Guardians.

Whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan, a roller coaster enthusiast, or a casual theme park visitor, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” is an absolute must-try experience. Disney’s ability to combine groundbreaking technology with captivating storytelling creates an unforgettable adventure that will leave you longing for more cosmic escapades. It definitely lived up to the sister Guardian’s attraction on the west coast and it definitely showed what Disney is capable of in present times. So, fasten your seatbelts, hold on tight, and let the Guardians take you on an epic cosmic ride of a lifetime!
