The wooden diffusing lid absorbs oil from the glass bottle and expands when warmed by sunlight or the heat inside your car. For best results, these diffusers thrive in warm conditions. Step 1

Unscrew the lid by twisting it off, just like you would with any fragrance bottle. Then, remove the inner stopper—a small plug that prevents leaks before use. You won’t need the stopper once the diffuser is set up.

Step 2

With the stopper out, screw the lid back onto the bottle securely.

Step 3

Tilt the bottle upside down for 5-10 seconds.

This is where the magic begins. Car Cologne diffusers work by allowing the oil to soak into the lid, releasing the scent gradually over time. Even after the oil runs out, the lid will continue to emit fragrance for weeks—or even months.

Step 4

Adjust the string to your desired length and hang the diffuser wherever you like, keeping the lid pointing upward. No need to keep it tilted—the scent will release on its own.

Step 5

If the scent starts to fade, repeat Step 3 by tilting the bottle upside down again. This will soak more oil into the wooden lid, refreshing the fragrance.
